I
sold my first painting of an abstract pussy willow when I
was in 3rd grade for $300. I began to devote myself to painting,
however, I did not understand nor appreciate my gift and sadly
disposed of most of my artwork. I was an adolescent boy with
a latent talent hiding from the world.
That was then and this is now. My technique has been compared
to a few great masters, such as Picasso, Dali, and Pollock.
There are many artists who paint, but few who can capture
a moment or feeling the way I do. It comes through in paintbrush
strokes with movement, energy, and passion of expression.
As I explore the mysterious territory of occult abstractionism,
shapes and forms come party through my brush as it connects
with the canvas.
My
signature has evolved to its now symbolic form. The original
signing of my first pieces as “Charlie” yielded
to “Charlie Garo,” finally settling on a signature
that appeared to me in a dream. Two illuminated letters,
AR, emerged, which I will be using until I sign my last
painting. To view my collection, please visit my Art
Gallery.
